The Certifying Authority

The Certifying Authority is the technological component or technical unit of ENCODE, whose function is the Issuance of Digital Certificates to its Subscribers and Revoked Certificate Lists (CRL).

The central systems of ENCODE's Certifying Authority are housed in ENCODE's Maximum Security Site, which has strict physical security controls that protect the Certifying Authority's computer facilities from unauthorized access and guarantee the continuity of its operations.

The Registration Authority

The tasks related to the identification and authentication of applicants and subscribers, verification and storage of supporting documentation are performed by the Registration Authorities.

There is a Central Registration Authority, operated by ENCODE, throughout the Argentine territory and Delegated Registration Authorities, which are operated by Organizations that, for such purposes, have agreed with ENCODE.

These Delegated Registration Authorities are under the control and supervision of ENCODE's Central Registration Authority.
